Sticky Fingers Street Food is a bar in the Roath area of Cardiff which hosts a rotating selection of guest street food vendors. They approached me to refresh their existing brand, wanting their new identity to feel exciting, rebellious, vibrant and most importantly, not boring!

The team at Sticky Fingers gave me the freedom to be very experimental, I took inspiration from industrial design, using textures from metal, wood and ink. The result was a strong, adaptive, logo which could be rendered in multiple ways such as being spray painted with a stencil or used with a wood-block texture on a poster. Alternately, the logo could be rendered clean and crisp without distortion for a more professional-looking business communication such as a sales invoice.

The colourful and chaotic imagery style reflects the eclectic and vibrant food flavours on offer at the bar, it’s a fusion of cuisines and styles coming together to create a cohesive, recognisable whole. The design layouts are carefully balanced to simultaneously be revelling in the bright, anarchic imagery, whilst also maintaining legibility and clear communication.

Lowri managed to understand our business and redevelop our brand to better suit it. She provided great communication, she made us feel completely at ease with a professional but human manner. Throughout our collaboration she approached the project with a dedication and passion which made her really feel as though she was part of our team. The fact that the initial project was undertaken during a country wide lockdown did not affect the project at all and all the work was produced before the set deadlines.

Lowri grew the visual maturity of our business, allowing us to successfully incorporate our vision into not only our outreaching media but the aesthetics of the venue.
